Air MD is a professional application designed to support healthcare professionals in diagnosing respiratory diseases and monitoring changes in lung function. For those interested in managing their lung health, Aria from NuvoAir can be downloaded.

Air MD is particularly useful for pulmonologists, general practitioners, nurses, and pharmacists. It simplifies the process of conducting spirometry tests and managing multiple patients efficiently.

Air MD operates with the Air Next wireless spirometer, a CE-certified Class IIa medical device. This device seamlessly connects to smartphones or tablets using Bluetooth Low Energy technology. The Air Next comes with a maintenance-free feature due to its hygienic and high precision disposable turbine, eliminating the need for sterilization and calibration.

Standard features of Air MD include the ability to measure FEV1, FVC, PEF, FEV1/FVC ratio, and display flow-volume arrays. The app detects common errors and guides patients on improving their test results. Test sessions are graded based on performance quality and reproducibility. GLI equations provide patient-specific results based on height, age, gender, and ethnicity. Users can generate PDF reports of spirometry results and track diseases and medications.

In addition to standard features, premium features of Air MD include full-loop tests (e.g., expiratory and inspiratory maneuver), advanced PDF reports with LLN data, z-score, and time volume curve. Advanced parameters such as MEF25 (FEF75), MEF50 (FEF50), MEF75 (FEF25), MEF75-25 (FEF25-75) are included. Users can manage up to 99 patients with these premium features.

The Air Next spirometer is intended for healthcare professionals trained in performing spirometry tests on patients or adults who have been trained to conduct high-quality spirometry tests either by healthcare professionals or through self-learning.

Technical details note that the Air Next measures FEV1, PEF, and FVC in a forced expiratory maneuver for detecting, assessing, and monitoring specific lung diseases. The device is CE certified as a Class II Medical Device and developed according to ISO-26782 standards. Air MD app integration with Apple's Health App allows exporting spirometer data to track FVC, FEV1, and PEF.
